Untitled is the first work where the logic now called The Dissonance Method began to take shape. It developed gradually over months through response rather than direction, allowing material, timing, and internal states to guide the process.
The base was built over a welded steel structure and formed using a proprietary cellulose and mineral composite developed through studio research. The material shifted throughout the making, firm one day and softer the next, requiring attention instead of control. The form evolved through repeated gestures, pauses, adjustments, and return.
Reclaimed bronze powder was hand applied and polished in layered stages over time. The surface holds subtle evidence of making: pressure, rhythm, endurance, change.
The removable light covers were developed separately through resin and fibre testing, refining transparency and strength through experimentation rather than a predetermined formula.
Untitled marks the point where the work stopped following expectation and began following relationship, between body, material, sensation, interruption, and timing. It stands as the origin of a process that continues to shape the practice: coherence formed through responsiveness, not resolution.
